RILEY

Riley Brennan (born 1988 - disappeared 2008) was an American folklore enthusiast and a prominent member of the Paranormal Paranoids, a collective dedicated to investigating urban legends and unexplained phenomena. Frequently labeled by the media as the group's "leader" or "host," Brennan was instead regarded by those close to her as a grounding presence who fostered collaboration and connection among members rather than directing them.

Brennan had a deep interest in mythology, folklore, and storytelling, often framing the group's investigations as a way to preserve narratives about fear, belief, and community. Outside of her work with the Paranoids, she was an aspiring musician, known for playing piano and guitar and for her singing, clips of which circulated online among fans.

In October of 2008, Brennan disappeared under mysterious circumstances while involved in a Paranoids investigation. Her case remains unsolved and has become a subject of speculation and public fascination.

The headlines love to label Riley the "leader" and "host" of the Paranoids, but that doesn't really capture what she is all about. Riley never bosses anyone around, and if anything, she's more like the anchor of the group. She is fascinated by folklore and legends because they are stories that need to be told.

The thing I love most about Riley is that she has this calm, thoughtful energy that makes you feel less alone, like maybe you aren't the only one who thinks the world can be dark and scary, but also beautiful.

She's also really into music, like playing piano, guitar, and singing. We've all seen the clips. Personally, I always thought her connection to music explained how spiritually in tune she seemed. Maybe that's why she can walk into these terrifying places and still find a kind of peace.

DAVID

David Reynolds (born 1987 - disappeared 2008) was an American cameraman and documentarian best known for his work with the Paranormal Paranoids, a collective that investigated urban legends and unexplained phenomena. Serving as the group's primary cameraman, Reynolds shaped how their investigations were experienced by audiences, carefully selecting what to frame and which details to highlight. His footage provided the only existing record of many of the group's journeys.

Reynolds developed an interest in filmmaking at a young age, initially experimenting with a home video camera and later working on school projects and local events. Known for his quiet, observant nature, he preferred being behind the camera, capturing others rather than appearing on screen himself.

In October of 2008, Reynolds disappeared along with his fellow members during an investigation. His final recordings have been widely analyzed and discussed, but the circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unresolved.

David might have been behind the camera most of the time, but that doesn't mean he wasn't just as important as the others. If anything, he shaped the way we experienced the Paranoids. He was the one choosing what moments to frame, what details to focus on, and how to capture the atmosphere so we could feel like we were there too. Without David, we wouldn't have any record of their journeys at all. He gave the Paranoids their perspective, and that role was absolutely essential.

PETER

Peter Bailey (born 1988 - disappeared 2008) was a childhood friend of fellow Paranoids member Riley Brennan. Bailey was known for his close bond with her, often serving as her most trusted confidant within the group. Their longstanding friendship was evident in their interactions, with Bailey frequently encouraging Brennan and reinforcing the group's shared sense of purpose.

Bailey's dynamic with Brennan was a central element of the Paranoids' recorded material, with many viewers noting the natural ease and trust between them. He disappeared alongside Brennan and other members of the group in October 2008 during an investigation, and his fate remains unknown.

Peter and Riley have known each other since they were kids, and it really shows in the way they click so effortlessly. You can feel that trust every time they're together on screen. When Peter pushes Riley to keep going, it doesn't feel like pressure - it feels like he's reminding her why they started this journey in the first place. Just look at that clip of them playing video games: Riley's smiling, Peter's laughing, and their friendship feels so natural. Riley has said she sees all the Paranoids as her closest friends, but to me, it's pretty clear Peter is her best friend.

LAURA

Laura Tucker (born 1990 - disappeared 2008) was known for her quieter and more reserved demeanor. Tucker was often perceived as less visible within the Paranoid's recordings, though those close to the group have suggested she played a key supporting role in their investigations.

Little is publicly known about Tucker's life prior to joining the group, though her family has spoken about her close relationship with them, particularly her mother. Following Tucker's disappearance in 2008, her mother made several public appeals for information, sharing videos online that drew widespread attention and deepened public interest in the case. Tucker vanished alongside fellow members Riley Brennan, David Reynolds, and Peter Bailey, and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unsolved.

Laura's the one we know the least about, which honestly breaks my heart. I've tried digging through old posts and even reached out to a few people who might've known her, but there's just not much out there. She's always seemed like the slightly more shy, "I'm just along for the ride" type, but I don't buy that she was just tagging along. I think she was a huge asset to the group, even if she wasn't the loudest voice in the room.

What really got me were the videos her mom posted, begging for answers. Watching those destroyed me. It almost felt like, by posting online, her mom was connecting with Laura in the same way we all did - through screens, and through this community. That tells me they were close. And it makes me believe Laura wasn't just some background character in all this, but a brave, loyal friend who stood by the others no matter what.
